Είκοσι εννέα διακρίσεις σε ξενοδοχεία και ομίλους ξενοδοχείων, πέντε σε προορισμούς, τέσσερις σε τουριστικά γραφεία κι από μία στον ΕΟΤ, τη Marketing Greece, στην Ακρόπολη και σε εταιρία διαχείρισης ξενοδοχείων, απέσπασε συνολικά η Ελλάδα στα World Travel Awards 2018 στις κατηγορίες Ευρώπη, Μεσόγειος και Ελλάδα.
Συγκεκριμένα, κατά την 25η απονομή των βραβείων, ευρωπαϊκά βραβεία κέρδισαν, στις κατηγορίες καλύτερων προορισμών, η Πελοπόννησος, η Αθήνα, η Τήνος, τα νησιά του Σαρωνικού και η Μάνη.
Επίσης, η Ακρόπολη βραβεύθηκε η κορυφαία τουριστική ατραξιόν στην Ευρώπη, η Hotelbrain απέσπασε τον τίτλο της κορυφαίας εταιρίας ξενοδοχειακού Management στην Ελλάδα, ο ΕΟΤ κέρδισε βραβείο κορυφαίας εθνικής στρατηγικής και καμπάνιας στον ευρωπαϊκό τουρισμό και η Marketing Greeceαναδείχθηκε κορυφαία σε επίπεδο καινοτομίας Μάρκετινγκ Προορισμού στην Ελλάδα. Ακόμα, η Mideast Travel, παρέλαβε διάκριση ως Europe’s Leading Destination Management Company (DMC).
